Description

Learn the fundamentals of web development with HTML5 and CSS3 and learn early on how to apply meaningful structure to content.

The course assumes that you have absolutely no previous knowledge of HTML or CSS.  The first section of the course establishes that HTML is nothing more than fancy structured content and the visual formatting of that content will come later with CSS.

The following section focuses on presentation: Painting your HTML to make it look nice using CSS.  Here, we cover the bare essentials of CSS - just enough to get you started.

Finally, in the last section, we look into the general concept of how to make a website or webpage available on the internet for all to see.  Subjects like hosting server, domain names, DNS are covered in broad terms to get you familiarize on what it takes to produce a "live" site.
